Delta Symbol in Greek Alphabet
Delta (uppercase Δ, lowercase δ) is the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet. In the Greek numeral system, it has the value of four. Originally, the letter delta derived from daleth (the Phoenician letter), which meant door. So, at the beginning, the letter D was drawn as a gate or a door. The capital letter looked alike as the Phoenician's.
